Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
Last updated: May 7, 2026
Introduction
Edwin Colon Photography (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website edwincolonphotography.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
When you submit our booking or contact form, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Event details you choose to share — session type, preferred date, location, guest count, package interest, budget range, and any vision notes
- How you found us (referral source)
We also collect basic technical and usage data automatically through our website analytics provider (Cloudflare Web Analytics), including pages visited, approximate location based on IP, browser type, and device type. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your booking inquiry or message
- To send a confirmation email after you submit the booking form
- To prepare a quote, contract, or proposal
- To create a project record in our client management system (HoneyBook) so we can coordinate your session
- To improve our website, content, and the booking experience
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or marketing networks for resale.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted vendors to operate the site and our business. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, DNS, and privacy-friendly analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery for booking confirmations and inquiry notifications.
- Zapier & HoneyBook — booking inquiries are forwarded to HoneyBook (our client management platform) via Zapier so we can prepare your project.
- Google Maps & Google Reviews — embedded on parts of the site to provide location context and social proof.
- Instagram & Facebook — embedded links out to our public social profiles.
Cookies & Tracking
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use client-side cookies or fingerprinting. If we add advertising or remarketing pixels in the future (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads), we will update this policy and surface a cookie banner where required by law.
Data Retention
Booking inquiries are retained in our email and HoneyBook account for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide services and meet legal or accounting obligations (typically up to seven years for tax purposes). You may request deletion of your inquiry at any time by emailing us.
Photographs of You
Images created during a paid session are governed by the photo release in your client contract, not this privacy policy. We will never publish photos from your session without the permissions you grant in that contract.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of marketing emails (we don't send any)
Contact us at hello@edwincolonphotography.com to exercise any of these rights.
Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults booking on behalf of a family. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Quinceañera sessions are booked by a parent or guardian, who provides any necessary information about the celebrant.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
